Terms and Conditions

1. Definitions “We / Us / Our” refers to Moss Heir Estates. “You / Customer” refers to the person or company named on this invoice. “Goods” means all items moved or handled by us. 

2. Quotations & Charges

2.1 All charges are based on the information provided by the Customer.

2.2 Additional charges may apply if:

-Access is restricted

-Waiting time is incurred

-Extra items are added

-Information supplied is inaccurate

-Delivery is not to a ground floor location

-Delivery location includes stairs

2.3 Any variations will be charged accordingly.

3. Payment Terms

3.1 Payment is due in full as stated on this invoice.

3.2 We reserve the right to withhold goods until payment is received.

3.3 Late payments may incur additional charges.

4. Customer Responsibilities

4.1 The Customer is responsible for:

-Ensuring safe access at collection and delivery addresses

-Obtaining parking permits where required

-Ensuring goods are ready for loading

-Disconnecting appliances prior to arrival

-Making their own travel arrangements 

4.2 We are not responsible for delays caused by access or parking issues

4.3 We are not responsible for delivering goods past the ground floor, unless prior agreed at quotation stage

4.4 We are not responsible for moving goods up stairs, unless prior agreed at quotation stage.

4.5 We can not transport the customer

5. Items Not Covered We do not accept liability for:

-Jewellery, cash, documents, or valuables unless declared in writing

-Hazardous, flammable, or perishable items

-Pre-existing damage

-Items packed by the Customer unless damage is caused by our negligence

6. Damage & Liability

6.1 Moss Heir Estates accepts liability only for loss or damage caused by our negligence.

6.2 Liability is limited to £40 per item, unless additional insurance was agreed in writing.

6.3 We are not liable for:

-Minor scuffs caused by restricted access

-Flat-pack furniture not dismantled/reassembled by us

-Mechanical or electrical faults

7. Claims

7.1 Any claims for loss or damage must be:

-Noted at the time of delivery, and Submitted in writing within 7 days of the move

-Claims received outside this period may not be accepted.

8. Delays & Force Majeure

-We are not liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond our control, including traffic, weather, accidents, or vehicle breakdowns.

 

9. Acceptance

-Payment and/or agreement to services confirms acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
